I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions. They don’t stick. But every year as January 1st looms I wonder what new things I should resolve to do. This year, 2014, I want to do many things, accomplish a long list of things. But I’m not going to do any of them because I said on January 1st that I was going to. Nothing will be done unless I choose to do it everyday.
Annie Dillard said, “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives. What we do with this hour, and that one, is what we are doing.”
And so this year on January 1st I resolve to live every day, every moment the way I want to remember having lived my life. I’ve been talking and thinking for quite a while about blogging, and so here it begins. Happy New Year everyone!
